Week #46 The Costs and Blessings of Discipleship
Hey everyone what is up? This week was a very good lesson to me about holding on to the end and waiting for the blessings to come. Here's why: PATRICIA GOT BAPTIZED. Finally we arrived to this very special day. It has been really hard and there were some moments honestly when I thought we might not make it. But I have learned to trust in the Lord and accept His will and timing.
Patricia got baptized this Saturday and every day since the last time I wrote you guys until her baptism was tough. Wednesday we were standing in immigration lines since 6:50 to 1 in the afternoon. It was rough. We struggled to find new investigators and we had tons of things to get done to get ready for the baptism and also for a ward activity that happened on Friday. I will admit I was stressed out. I talked to Elder Bastias one night and he said it was kind of obvious so I tried to slow down a bit and relax. And then we made it to Saturday: Patricia´s baptism.
It was a very spiritual experience. When Patricia saw me in white before the baptism she said I looked like an angel. Elder Bastias showed up and got ready too. And then it finally happened. Patricia finally got baptized. To be completely honest out of the 3 people in the font that day I was probably the one who waited the least for this moment to happen. Patricia has been for months and Elder Bastias has been hoping to baptize someone his whole mission and he finally did. 3 months before he goes home. It was a very special moment for me being able to be in the baptismal font helping out an old friend and companion fulfill his dream.
Elder Bastias and myself
Saturday was easily the highlight of my week. And there are good things to come ahead. To be sure there are hard things that will accompany them but the blessings our Heavenly Father has in store for us always conquer the trials we may face in this life.
Love you all! Have an amazing week

Q&A
1. What is your companion like? My companion Elder Lainez is way different from Elder Bastias. He is a lot more quiet and calm. He also is a very good teacher and helps bring in the Spirit every lesson
2. You seem to always be doing emailing at the church now. Is that a new rule? it is anew rule. We will be writing here in the chapel for a while now. Kind of frustrating but that is just the way it is going to be.
3. What is something you look forward to this week? week I get to do my first transfers with my district. Elder Ribeiro(who has about one month in the mission) is coming to Geronimo on Thursday. It will be pretty sweet
4. Are you staying warm? Yep it really is not that cold yet. But I am using the north face coat you gave me and layering up when necessary. We are all ready for winter down here in Chile
5. How is your health? I am doing good health wise. I feel good and do not have any problems. I wish we could go running but Elder Lainez has asthma. Oh well some day I will go running again
