Week #50 Remember!
Hey everyone how is it going? This week was pretty sweet at sometimes and pretty tough at others but hey, that is how it is at times. So excited to talk to you guys on Sunday!!!!! It is crazy how fast the time went since the last time we talked on Skype and I am sure it will go faster.
This week was a lot of firsts and lasts. Here's why...
Firsts
1. This Saturday I did my first baptismal interview. The candidate was a man from Haiti named Frandy. He is a great guy and I loved our interview together. I may have actually learned more than he did! I also really appreciated the guiding influence of the Spirit during our meeting. Right when I sat down I felt a calming, realizing feeling that we were going to be Ok. And we were! Frandy is going to be baptized!
2. Yesterday I gave my first district meeting for this transfer. My district was a lot different than beforehand. It is a lot more work but I love this privilege I have to minister to 8 amazing missionaries during the next few weeks. The district meeting went really well and I hope that everyone was edified in one way or another
Lasts
1. President Morgan had his last fireside this Sunday. It was SO GOOD!. The musical numbers were awesome and President Morgan's message about fathers was powerful and filled with the Spirit. It was definitely the best of them all. I also got to hook up with some old companions(see photo) Elder Nava is going home in a few weeks which is just crazy to think about.
Elder Nava (next to me) he was my trainer
2. We also had our last zone conference with President Morgan and also received our last focus with him this week. Our focus this transfer is Remember and I love it so much that I put it as the subject line of this email. It is a sad thought that President Morgan is heading out in a few days(He heads the 29th of June the same day President Brotherson arrives)
Things are going well here. Super excited for Sunday when we get to talk. See you guys then! Love you guys!
