Week #53 Lord, I Would Follow Thee
Hey everyone! Glad to hear you guys had a great time in Washington and are now headed to Nauvoo. Kid of jealous about that part because I have always wanted to go to Nauvoo. Oh well there will be plenty of opportunities in the future. BUT YOU MET THE MORGANS: Yeah!!!! I always wanted you guys to meet them. They were so wonderful and amazing. If you guys want to have dinner with them and you do, please do. They are awesome. And once they know where I live it will be easier to hook up when I get home. Oh I am so happy you guys met the Morgans!!!!
Below are some zone pictures Landon recently got from President Morgan
Q&A
1. I have actually only been here for 4 transfers....But that is still a lot of time and it has been a blur as it is. The zone is doing really well. We are expecting a lot of changes next Monday(I may be one of them) but the work keeps going on. I will be sad to say goodbye to La Florida but I am also excited for what comes next
2. Elder Lainez is doing great. His excitement has spiked up since our fist day together. There are ways that both he and I can improve in the next couple days but we talk and laugh a lot more and I feel like we have a lot better relationship than before. I have really come to love the guy.
3. Yesterday in church was a miracle. All of our investigators had fallen through but people still showed up anyway. A sister from another ward in La Florida brought her friend named Mabel and they were here all 3 hours. Beatriz, a recent convert also came back to church. When Elder Bastias left here we got a call from her saying that she was going to go inactive...but she has already come back and she said she is going to keep coming. It was a good wrap up for the week
4. As far as the 4th of July and the one year mark, I did not do much. We did the usual cooking together as roommates(I made that cinnamon cake you sent so good....) We made chocolate cake too and hamburgers for the 4th. I did not feel anything different when I hit the year mark. I just wanted to go to work.
5. I think in both really. It depends in what I am doing but in many ways Spanish is starting to take over. We are going to see how I end up when I get home...
Hanging out with my elders. I am going to miss this crew. The one in the middle wearing the balck jacket(Elder Di Leo) goes home this week after finishing his 2 years.
Things are going really well here. I am a little nervous but also excited about transfers next week. We had interviews with President Brotherson yesterday(which was also very awesome) so we will see what happens. We have a lot this week. Elder Myers is coming on Thursday! I will get to work with my MTC companion for the first time in the mission field. Woo hoo! I will let you guys know what happens next week
Les amo! Que tengan una fantástica semana!
