Week #66 Lots of good things going on...
Hey everyone how is it going? I am on a bit earlier today because we had transfers so in order for everyone to get writing in I am going first early in the morning. I am not bothered by it at all just letting you guys know why my email is coming in early
5. How are those that you are teaching doing? Really well. We had another friend come to conference this weekend. His name is Matias Muñoz and he has a baptismal date for November 3rd. He was just a former friend of the church that we found in the Area Book that was super receptive and has come to church a couple of times now. Our other baptismal dates are Schneider and Tebenin who were not able to come to church but they are still OK for their baptismal date for the 27th of October. Like I said, I am positive a lot of good things are going to happen in Violeta this transfer.
Q&A
1. 2 hour church! What do you think? That was a cool twist during general conference. In between the four of us here in our apartment, we had heard rumors of such a change. And it turned out to be true. In a missionary's perspective, this is going to be great. It will be a lot easier to get people to church because 2 hours is less intimidating. What it will do to our schedule during the rest of our Sunday is yet to be determined
2. What's the news about transfers? Are you staying with Elder Goodman? Yes I am staying here with Elder Goodman which is great. I have a feeling a lot of good things are going to happen this transfer in Violeta so I am glad that I am staying. Elder Robins got transferred though which was kind of sad so Elder Dixon is picking up his new companion as I am writing here. That is why we came in early today. I was also assigned to be district leader this transfer. Being both a trainer and a district leader will be a heavier responsibility but an exciting one nevertheless.

3. Were you able to watch all the sessions of conference? What was your favorite talk? Yeah we watched all the sessions in English. It was really fun. Obviously President Nelson's talk was unforgettable. I also enjoyed Elder Ballard's and Elder Bednar's talk with President Oaks in the mix as well. After I am done writing I am going to download many of the talks and put them on my thumb drive to listen to during the week.
4. Did Jean Martin come to conference? YESSSSS!!! He came! Our ward mission leader helped us pick him up and take him to conference. He said he loves it. We are continuing with the lessons and once he can come to church one more time we can baptize him. He is super excited. I am going to be praying that that opportunity can come soon.

This week flew by. With conference and interchanges during the week and transfers this week went right by me. We had a lot of good things happen this week and I am keeping my eyes up for the future. It is going to be an exciting time especially with the dedication of the Concepcion Chile Temple coming up. Trying to enjoy these times because it is becoming obvious to me that this will not last forever. It goes by faster than I want it to so I try to make the best of it.
Love and miss you guys! You are in my thoughts and prayers often!
