Week #81 Beginning with the End in Mind

Hello one and all. How are you guys? Things are going really well here in El Parque. We had a lot of good happen which I will write about a little on.

Found some sunglasses in the secretary office and started messing around with them

If you were wondering if I felt the earthquake, the answer is yes. We felt a temblor pretty strong. It was kind of fun actually. We made sure we were in a safe spot in case it got worse. And then we just enjoyed it. It was strong but I had felt similar magnitudes before.

So what was great about this week was 2 major things. One we were able to set a baptismal date with a friend named Karla. She is married to a member of the church and she really wants to be baptized. We set it for March 2nd and she was super excited. Due to some familyu conflicts we had to set the date out that far but she is really committed to get there.

The second great thing was we found 4 people in the chapel. 2 were from a family of people from Haiti that we are teaching(their names are Natividad y Samali). The other 2 were the parents of the familia Mancilla(Miguel and Jenny). There are a lot of reasons of why it was great they came to church. I actually taught them a few times when I came here for intercambios last year and a lot has happened for them since then. They live in a 3 story apartment building and Miguel has problems walking due to an accident. But with some help from some members, we were able to help Miguel come down and come to church. It was super exciting

Tomorrow we have interviews with President Brotherson and it should be awesome! I love every opportunity that I have to be with and learn from President. He is truly one of my role models.

Love you guys! Have a great week!
