Week #45 Y con buen animo busca lo bueno

Hey guys! Glad to hear you guys had an awesome Mother's Day talking to Mason and spending time with family. Also way to go Lydia on the talent show and Jacob with Hope of America. It is nice to see all the amazing things you guys are doing back home.

P Day is actually pretty awesome today. President asked that we write in the chapel with the church computer so we are hanging out as a district playing Ping Pong and writing our families. We went to Carls Jr and we bought some burgers as well. Afterwards we are probably just going to chill and relax until we go back to work tonight.

Hanging out with the coolest district ever today in Carls Jr!

Osbaldo is this super nice older gentleman we found in the Area Book. In another area he was about to be baptized but he moved here so now we are working with him and getting him ready for baptism. Due to work problems he has had recently we changed his date for the 30th of June but other tan that everything is going super well.

I will admit this week was harder than previous ones. We had the Chilean Daylight savings on Saturday so we turned our clocks an hour back and got another hour of sleep. With the time change things really changed towards winter. It is a lot colder and more cloudy and enjoyable. Honestly it is kind of an eyeopener because I arrived in the mission last winter so I am almost in the halfway point. Whoa

So great news Patricia passed her interview on Saturday so on the 19th she is going to be baptized! Yeah! Finally we got here. All of the preparation has gone really well. We have already planned the baptismal service and we got the clothing. Elder Bastias is going to baptize Patricia but I am going to be in there too to help him. It is going to be a great week.

Being district leader has gone well. I am really blessed to live with my district. It has been a lot easier to gain their trust and develop deper relationships. For example every night we cook and eat together. Espeically this week those nights help get me along and help me relax and face the different challenges I have in front of me.

Love you all. Have a super duper week! CuĂdense!
Elder Evans

Hanging out with my comp Elder Lainez. Lo Canas were on transfers with the zone leaders so we hanged out and had a good time together

An initiative that President Morgan has started, This is the beginning of baptisms weekly in Chile Santiago East. We take our investigators that are baptism ready and plan EVERYTHING. Every lessons every compromise and with time we can make it so that we have baptisms in our area every week. Pretty cool huh?
